Highest paying jobs: some important factors worth considering!

When considering a career path in life and your main motivation for choosing a path is money or take home pay then, doing adequate research, knowing what the requirements are and the location you are in or hoping to work in are important factors to consider. For example the top jobs in the US are not necessary the top paying jobs in other locations in the world.

To put this into context, surgeons, general physicians, petroleum engineers, air traffic controllers and attorneys  are the highest paying jobs in the US. The situation of surgeons, general physicians and attorneys will be different in some countries (e.g. African countries) where these professions are less valued. However, values attached to a profession by the population may not be the only defining factor for the take home pay, other factors such as  the high average debt incurred by graduates in medicine and law and the risk and stress associated with petroleum engineers, air traffic controllers.

It is also important to know that petroleum engineers and air traffic controllers may not require a degree or formal education hence the important of researching before venturing out.

Another factor is supply and demand of those professions in your society or place that you are thinking of working. If there are more doctors or petroleum engineers than the demand for them, the salary that the employers are willing to pay goes down as there are more doctors and engineers (higher supply) needing these jobs.

Research suggests that Mediterranean food mainly of fruit and vegetables, legumes, nuts and olive oil and fish are for: better weight loss than lower fat diets; may prevent diabetes and heart conditions.

The history of hairstyle or hairdo is almost as old as human beings, with people from different cultures or racial backgrounds wearing different styles. Historical hair is a form of cultural identity, but the revolution in the hairstyle industry began during the Roman empire. Since then hairstyle is an important indicator of an individual's social class, religion, gender, culture, cult, political group, race, marital status and age. Every race have made it a duty to define their own unique hairstyle.

Generally, there is the belief that the African hair is difficult to handle and there are few hair products designed to manage their hair. However, there are some who have come up with ingenious ways to manage nice unique hairstyles. Black women are evolving and many of them are adopting the European or Asian longer hairdo mainly due to to aesthetic reasons.

We have below some modern hairdo in some black Africans, black Americans or black Europeans that are beautiful and unique to their identity. The black race owe it to the coming generation to define for them a unique hairdo that befits a modern society.

Ebola deaths now over 5000

According to the WHO, the number of deaths resulting from Ebola infection is now over 5000. Efforts to curtail the spread of virus to other locations is still ongoing following the new death recorded in Mali (bring total deaths in Mali to 4). Majority of the deaths occurred in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. Newer cases are still being reported in Sierra Leone, indicating that the disease outbreak may not be over yet.  Canada, USA, Russia and some EU countries are currently testing vaccines that may help protect humans from the deadly virus.
People are currently advised to avoid contact with infected persons or animals and wash their hands regularly. See WHO webpage on global alert responses dedicated to Ebola outbreak information and for more facts and travel advice.

A female Nigerian Suicide Bomber kills three!

A female suicide bomber in Niger state, Nigeria, has killer herself and three people in the school where the bomb she was carrying went off.

Some like Naya Rivera (an american actress and singer), commented that she is someones mother; suggesting that Kim should be a better role model for her daughter, North west, than exposing her butt to the cameras.

Nicki Minaj got a new Jewish Boyfriend

There have been speculations that Nicki Minaj may be anti-semitic due to one of her recent videos. 
Nicki's have been criticized on her video that seems to condone Nazism. Now she has come out openly to say and tweet that she is not anti-Jewish neither will she condone nazism in her art. 
She said that the music video was made together with a new Jewish boyfriend, Alex, the name she gave out when questioned by a group of paparazzi in LA airpot.

Morocco no more hosting the 2015 African cup of Nations

Due to Ebola fears, Morocco will not be hosting other African countries in the next African cup of Nations.
Countries such as Ivory Coast and Cameroon also express fear over ebola earlier during the nations cup qualifiers, but the confederation of African Football (CAF) maintained the the qualifiers must go on despite the ongoing ebola crisis in some west African countries.
Ebola has claim over 4000 lives in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia alone.
Morocco is now disqualified from the competition according to a statement currently on the CAF website.

Ankara styles taking over the world

It is pleasant to see that on most fashion shows runways, Ankara styles that are native to the African culture is taking the world by storm.

African tailors have taken their game up to the next level and now showcase their styles and patterns on social media while modifying the traditional look for modern looks (adopting blazers, skirts, crop tops and the likes).

The top most violent cities the world

Despite the current instability in many parts of Africa, most African cities are considered less violent compared with their counterparts in the Latin America and North america.
The terrorist group, Boko Haram, is causing mayhem and destroying innocent lives in northern Nigeria, no Nigeria city made the first 50 on the list.
South Africa is the only African country that made the first 50 on list of the most violent cities in the world in a report published by Business Insider.  Many will expect to find Lagos, Johannesburg and Cairo in the list, however, the three Africa cities that made the list were: Cape Town, Durban and Nelson Mandela Bay.
The ranking was based on the rate of homicides per 100,000 of the population. On the top of the list is San Pedro Sula, Honoduras. Cape Town being the 20th (1st in Africa) on the list, is estimated to have about 50.9 homicides per 100,000 residents.

Bomb blast kills over 40 students in Potiskum, Nigeria

A bomb has exploded in Potiskum (north-eastern town of Yobe State) Nigeria, during a school assembly at the Government comprehensive senior science secondary school. BBC reported that about 47 students were killed in the explosion which occurred at about 8:00am (7:00 GMT). Other reports suggest that the figure of death may increase.
This incident happened after Boko haram claimed to have seized more towns in the northern part of Nigeria.

Cheating may be justifiable if it is rampant or wide spread in the population. There is recent concern that cheating during a university exam may be more common than was originally thought; especially following a university of Harvard final examination cheating scandal.  A recent article featured on BBC described how students in some part of northern India view examination cheating as their 'birthright'.
